Reading Festival is one of the most popular Music Festivals that are organized yearly in United Kingdom. Reading Festival was first organized back in 1971 where the genre includes heavy metal, blues, heavy rock and later on punk rock and traditional rock was added in the 70’s. Traditionally heavy rock was played on the last two days of the festival and the festival did attract a very large number of crowds. The festival did face a ban for two years between the years of 1985 and 1986, and the main problem was with the licenses. In 1980’s the festival lost its popularity with the change in the music trend then in the 90’s the Reading and Leeds festival started being organized together, which brought back the popularity of the event.
